Chicken Pola

Chicken Pola

1.Chicken pieces-5-6 medium(200-250gm)

Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp

Pepper powder-1/2 tsp

Crushed chillies-1/2 tsp

Vinegar-1 tbsp

Salt-1/2 tsp

Put all the above ingredients into a pan and cover and cook till chicken is cooked through.Set this aside to cool.

2.Onion-2

Green chillies-3-4

Curry leaves-4

Ginger garlic paste-1 tsp

Oil-2 tbsps

Heat oil and sauté the chopped curry leaves,onions and green chillies.Once onions are glossy add ginger garlic paste and cook till raw smell vanishes.

3.Chilli powder -3/4 tsp

Garam masala-1/2 tsp

Tomato-1/2

Or tomato ketchup-1 1/2 tbsps

Mint leaves-few

Add in the masalas and sauté.Add the chopped tomato and cook till blended,then add shredded chicken and some water.

Note:I used tomato ketchup so added it along with the shredded cooked chicken .

Once the mixture comes together,

Adjust salt and add the mint leaves.

Set aside to cool.

For the Pola

4.Chappathi-4 large

Bread-6-8

I used 3 Chappathis and 1 quboos instead.

Cut the Chappathi and bread into small pieces.

4.Eggs-3

Pepper powder-3/4 tsp

Salt-1/2 tsp

Milk-1- 1 1/2 cups

Coriander leaves-1/4 cup

Beat the eggs in a big bowl with a fork adding salt and pepper .Add in 1 cup milk and beat in.

Now add the Chappathi ,coriander leaves chopped and bread pieces to this and cooled chicken mixture,setting aside 2-3 tbsps .Stir in to coat it completely.If the mixture is dry,add some more milk and mix in.

Heat a nonstick pan and add 1 tbsp oil and add the above mixture to it and spread evenly.Top with the set aside chicken mixture and cover and cook on low heat for 8-10 minutes or until browned at the bottom and top is almost set.

Now place a plate over the pan and invert the chicken pola on to it.

Take a big nonstick Tava and add a tsp of oil .Now slide the pola onto the Tava and cover and cook till the other side is lightly browned,for 3-5 minutes.

Chicken Pola is ready to serve.
