Cherupayar Thoran
1.Cherupayar(whole Moong Dal)-1/2 cup
Soak this overnight or for 4 hours in enough water.Drain and pressure cook the soaked Cherupayar by adding 1/4 cup water (without adding salt)for a whistle.
2.onion-1 big
Garlic-4-5
Green chilli-4-5
Curry leaves-a sprig
Chop all the above ingredients.
3.Oil-1 tbsp
Mustard seeds-1 tsp
Whole Red Chilli-2
Splutter mustard in oil.Add the red chillies and then the chopped ingredients .saute for few minutes
4.turmeric pwdr-1/2 tsp
Coconut scraped-1 cup
Salt to taste
Add & sauté .now add the coconut scraped & salt to this along with some water & cook for a minute. Now add the cooked Cherupayar and cook without cover till it’s dried.Cherupayar Thoran is ready.
