Tandoori Prawns š¤/Fish Tikka recipe
1.Prawns/Boneless fish/Whole Tilapia,Sheri -500 gm/2 big
I used whole Tilapia Fish today or u can use Nile Perch/Cream Dorey fish fillets to make this.Wash and pat dry the fish fillet/prawns with kitchen tissues.Cut into medium size pieces.
For the Tikka Masala
2.Kashmiri Chilli Powder-1 1/4 tsp
Turmeric-1/2 tsp
Coriander powder-1 tsp
Pepper powder-3/4 tsp
Cumin jeera powder-1 tsp
Garammasala-1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
In a bowl mix all the above ingredients together.
3.Lime juice-1 tbsp
Ginger garlic paste-1 1/2 tbsp
Green chilies-3-5( adjust according to your spice level)
Curry leaves 3-4
Thick Yoghurt-2 -3 tbsps
Canola/Sesame oil-1 tbsp (+ 2 tsp for brushing)
Grind the green chilies and curry leaves along with the ginger & garlic.
Add to the above and stir in.Now add the prawns/fish pieces and marinate for 2-3 hours or overnight.
Grill/Bake it in a preheated oven at 200 C for 20-25 minutes. Half way through brush with melted butter/oil and turn the pieces..Use a tray lined with aluminum foil to catch the drips while being.
I used my Tefal Actifry and baked for 15 minutes or till browned. I sprinkled 2 tsp canola oil on top of the marinated fish and baked it.
