Prawns/Chemmeen Thoran

1.Prawns-500 gm

Deshell the prawns and remove the veins.Wash thoroughly.

2.Crushed red Chillies-2tsp

Chilli powder-3/4 tsp

Salt to taste

Add to the prawns and set aside.

3.Shallots-6-7

Ginger-a small piece

Garlic-4-5 big ones

Green chilli-3

Whole Pepper -1 /2 tsp

Coconut scrapped-1 cup

Crush all the above ingredients and place in an earthern pot. Add the marinated prawns.

4.Kudampuli-3

Soak this in 1/2 cup water and add to the above.Now mix all the ingredients in the pot with your hands until well blended.Heat the stove and place the pot on it.Cover with a lid and cook until the prawns are cooked through.Remove the lid and cook until little water is left.

5.Coconut oil-1 tbsp

Curry leaves-2 sprigs

Off the stove and add the curry leaves & coconut oil and cover with the lid sothat the flavors are well infused.After 10 minutes just stir and serve.
