Pineapple Semiya Payasam
1. Pineapple vilayichathu-1/2 cup
Recipe
Cook a pineapple (400 gm)chopped along with 3 cloves and cover and cook till done. Now add 300-400 gm sugar and cook till the sugar thickens and pineapple is well coated .Pineapple vilayichathu is ready.
2.Vermicelli-1/2 cup
Ghee-1 tbsp
Cashews-6
Kismis-10
Heat ghee and fry the cashews and kismis and remove.Add the vermicelli and sauté till lightly browned.
2.Water-1 cup
Salt -half a pinch
Sugar-1/2 cup
Cardamom-2
Coconut milk-200 ml
Heat water in a pan and bring to boil.Add the vermicelli roasted and salt to this and cook till done.
Add in the sugar,coconut milk ,1/2 cup water and let it come to boil.Add in the crushed cardamom and set aside fried nuts .Once boiled,off the stove and add in the pineapple vilayichathu and stir in.Pineapple Semiya Payasam is ready.
Note: the Payasam thickens once cooled,so it should loose while you off the stove.
