Parippu Vada
1.Toor/Masoor dal-1 cup Whole red chillies-2 Soak the dal & chilli in water for 2-3 hours.drain water. 2.green chilli -4-5 Curry leaves-2 sprigs Grind the green chillies & curry leaves .add the drained dal along with the soaked red chilli and grind in 3-5batches.(this should not become a paste.some dal should remain whole) 3.onion-1 small Or shallots-5-6 Ginger-1 small piece Chop the above and add to the ground dal . 4.astafoeda powder-1/2 tsp Salt to taste Add to the ground mixture and make Vada shape and fry in hot oil till done.
