Kappa Beef
1.Beef-1/2 kg
Turmeric pwdr-1/4 tsp
Chilli pwdr-1 tsp
Corriander pwdr-1 tsp
Vinegar-1 tbsp
Salt to taste
Pressure cook the beef along with all the ingredients mentioned above till done.
2.kappa/tapioca-1/2 kg
Remove the outer cover & cut the kappa into small chunks.In a vessel bring to boil some salted water.once it starts to boil,add the kappa & cook till done.drain this in a colander & set aside.
3.Oil-2 tbsp
Ginger-1 small piece
Garlic-4
Curry leaves-1 sprig
Onions-1( big chopped)
Sauté the onions.add crushed ginger & garlic ,curry leaves & sauté.
4.Chilli pwdr-1 tsp
Corriander pwdr-1 tsp
Turmeric pwdr-1/4 tsp
Pepper pwdr-1/2 tsp
Garam masala-1/2 tsp
Add the masalas & sauté.open the cooker & add only the water to this.Cook till little water is left oil seperates.add the cooked beef to this.when it's well coated with the masalas, add cooked tapioca to this & mix till it's well blended.(when u add kappa, there shudn't be any water content in the curry-cause it will cook the kappa & ur kappa beef will turn out as achayan's(kottayam ) beef & kappa kuzhachathu & not Thrissurians kappa beef.
