Jeera Rice
1.Basmati Rice-1 1/2 cup
Clean and soak the rice for 30 minutes.
2.Ghee-1/2 tbsp
Oil-2 tsp
Cumin jeera-3/4 tbsp
Cloves-6-7
Cinnamon-1 piece
Bay Leaf-1 big
Green chillies-3-4
Heat ghee and oil in a pan and splutter the jeera.Add the whole masalas and sauté .Now add the green chillies chopped and then the drained soaked rice and sauté on medium flame for 2-3 minutes.
Add 3 cups water and salt to taste and cover it and bring to boil.Then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer .Cook till all the water is evaporated and rice is cooked through.Off the stove and Let this remain covered for 10 minutes.After 10 minutes stir in some chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with some veg or non veg curry
