Chakka/Jackfruit Chips
1.Raw Jackfruit-50 pieces
Remove the jackfruit seeds and cut the top & bottom thick parts of each chakka.Then slice the remaining part evenly.
2.Coconut oil-1/2 kg
Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
Salt-1 tbsp
Water-1/4 cup
Heat oil in a cheenachatti.Dissolve the salt in water in a bowl.Add turmeric powder to it and set aside.
Once oil is hot,add the sliced jackfruit/chakka and fry till u get crispy sounds,often turning.Add a tsp of the turmeric salt water and fry till the ish sound of water subsides.Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on tissues.Jackfruit/Chakka Chips is ready.Once cooled a little bit,store in airtight containers.
