Falafel
1.Chickpeas-200 gm
Soak this overnight /4 hrs.
2. Garlic-4-5(big)
Green chillies -5-8
Parsley - 1/2 cup
Corriander leaves-1/2 cup
Onion-1(chopped)
3. Corriander ( whole)-1tsp
Cumin-1 tsp
Pepper corns-1/2 tsp
Ground this & add along with items of 1 & 2.grind all together in a mixie to a crumb .U needn”t make a paste of it.Just pulse It twice in the small jar of the mixie .U should have some Small crumbs of the Chickpeas in it.
4.flour-2 tbsp
Salt to taste
Baking soda-3/4 tsp (optional)
Add to the grinded mixture.
Make vada shape & fry in hot oil till golden.
Falafel is ready to serve with some Tahini sauce .
Note :Baking soda gives puffiness to the falafels.U can bake this after brushing with oil at 180 C till browned or use an air fryer to bake this -for an healthy version.Use baking powder instead of baking soda if you’re baking these.
