Easy Beef Curry

Easy Beef Curry (in cooker)

1.Beef-1/2 kg

Cut the beef into small pieces and wash and drain.

2.Coconut Oil-1 tbsp

Onions-1 big

Shallots-10-12

Garlic -4-5 big(Chinese ones)

Ginger-1” piece

Tomato-2

Green Chillies-3-4

Curry leaves-2 -3 sprigs

Chop the ginger,garlic,green chillies,tomato,onions and one sprig curry leaves .

3.Kashmiri Chilli powder-1 1/2 tsp

Chilli powder -1 1/2 tsp

Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp

Fennel seeds-3/4 tsp (crushed)

Garam Masala-1 tsp

Pepper powder-1 tsp

Coriander powder-1 tbsp

Salt to taste

Potato-1 big

Now add all the above masalas and the chopped ingredients, potato and the set aside beef and some salt to a pressure cooker and knead with your hands.Set this aside for for 15 minutes without adding any water.

Pressure cook this for 2 whistles or until the beef is cooked through.

5. Shallots-5

Curry leaves-1 sprig

Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp

Pepper powder-1/2 tsp

Chilli powder-1/2 tsp

Coriander powder-1/2 tsp

Garam masala-1/2 tsp

Salt to taste

Coconut oil-1 tbsp

Heat oil and sauté the sliced shallots and Curry leaves.Add in the above masalas and sauté on low heat.Now add the Cooked beef along with the gravy and some water and allow it to cook on low heat for 2-3 minutes or until the mixture thickens.Adjust the seasonings.

Beef Curry is ready to serve with some Pathiri or Porottas.
