Raisins wine Recipe

1.Raisins-1/2 kg

Wash the raisins twice to remove any impurities.

2.Sugar-1 kg

Lukewarm water-2.250 litres

Yeast-1tsp

Whole wheat-1 /4 cup

Cinnamon-2 sticks

In a glass/wine jar(barani) pour the water.Add the sugar and stir to dissolve. Then add the washed wheat and raisins to this.Now add the yeast,cinnamon broken & stir in.

The mixture should leave 2" space from the top of the jar sothat it doesn't overflow when it rise.

Cover with the lid and place in a dark place.I usually cover the glass jar with black garbage bags & tie it.

For 21 days you have to stir this for 5 minutes daily.After 21 days strain the mixture and discard all except the juice.Pour the juice into the same jar and cover it with lid & use a black garbage bag to cover it (sothat it's not exposed to light).Let this sit for another 21 days undisturbed.

After 21 days pour the wine into dark glass bottles discarding the bottom where the sediments have settled.While pouring take utmost care not to disturb the sediment as this will spoil your wine.Yields around 2 1/4 litres of wine
