Chilli Idli with leftover Idli's

Recipe for Chilli Idli

1.Idli-5-6

Cut the idli into small pieces.Keep this aside.

2.Onion-1 big

Ginger-a small piece(optional)

Green Chilly-2

Curry leaves-1 sprig

Mustard seeds-1/4 tsp

Oil-2 tsp

Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds.Add curry leaves and then the chopped onion,ginger (if using)& green Chillies.Saute till translucent.

3.Chilli powder-3/4-1 tsp(adjust the spice level according to your taste)

Salt to taste

Fried Peanuts-3 tbsps

Corriander leaves-few chopped

Add the Chilli powder and salt and saute for a minute on low flame.

Add some water and cook till the oil separates and water dries a little bit.Now add the set aside cut idli and mix in.Once the masalas are well coated on the Idli's off the stove.Garnish with fried peanuts and chopped Corriander leaves and serve
