Chakka Vilayichathu
Melt 200 gm jaggery by boiling it with 1/4 cup water.Strain this into a Cheenachatti and let this boil till you get a one string consistency.Add 1 cup of coconut to this and 2-3 crushed cardamom.Once this mixture thickens add 1 1/2 -2 cups of chopped chakka and mix in.Off the stove.Chakka Vilayichathu is ready.This can be eaten as such or can be used to make Chakka Ada.
Note:
1.Amount of jaggery depends on how sweet is your Chakka or what you’re going to do with it.To make Ada you want it to be sweeter while if you’re going to eat it as it is you can reduce the jaggery amount .
2.Amount of coconut can be adjusted according to your liking too.
3.U can add sugar instead of jaggery if you want. If you’re using sugar just reduce the amount mentioned.
