Beef Kondattam recipe
1.Beef-3/4 kg
Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
Vinegar-1 tbsp
Salt to taste
Slice the beef into strips or small pieces and add the above ingredients and cook it till done.
Once cooled, open the cooker and remove the beef pieces and set aside the stocks.
2.For frying
Egg -1
Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
Chilli powder-2 tsp
Coriander powder-1 1/2 tsp
Pepper powder-1 tsp
Cornflour-1 1/2 tbsps
Maida-1 tbsp
Ginger garlic paste-2 tsp
Vinegar-1 tbsp
Salt to taste
Add all the above ingredients to the beef and set aside for 15-20 minutes.Then deep fry in hot oil in 3 batches ,till crispy .
3.Whole Red Chillies-4
Curry leaves-2 sprigs
Ginger-1/2” piece
Garlic-3-4 big
Onions-2 big
Green Chillies-4
Oil-1 1/2 tbsps
In a pan pour the oil and sauté the dry chillies and curry leaves.Add in the crushed ginger & garlic and sauté.Then add the chopped onions and green chillies and sauté till it starts to brown.
4.Chilli flakes-2 tsp
Chilli powder-1 1/2 tsp
Pepper powder -1 1/2 tsp
Garam masala-1/2 tsp
Tomato Ketchup-3-4 tbsps
Now add in all the above ingredients and sauté on low heat.Add in the set aside stock or water and cook till oil separates.Add in the fried beef and mix in.Adjust the seasonings.Cover and cook for 2-3 minutes.Beef Kondattum is ready.
