Banana Parippu Pradaman 1.Ripe Banana(Ethan)1/2 kg Ghee-2 tbsps Remove the inner seeds of the bananas and grind it.(I didn't grind it to a paste) In a big nonstick pan fry the ground banana till it's cooked.(5 minutes) 2.Jaggery-1/2 kg Melt this with 1/4 cup water and strain. Add to the cooked bananas and simmer till the bananas are well coated & the mixture thickens a bit. 3.Splitted moong dal-125 gm Soak this in water for an hour or two.Boil this .remove the white foams that appears on top while cooking the dal.once it's cooked & not mashed add to the banana and jaggery mixture and simmer for 10 minutes. 4.first milk of coconut-2 cups Second milk of coconut-4 cups Chukku( dry ginger)powder-1/2tsp Cardamom powder-1/2 tsp Jeera powder-1/2 tsp Now add the second milk of coconut & bring it to boil.Once boiled,reduce flame and let it simmer till it thickens.Now add the dry ginger,cardamom & jeera powder along with the first milk of coconut. Once it starts to boil simmer it for 2-3 minutes. 5.ghee-1 tbsp Coconut pieces-2 tbsps Cashews broken-2 tbsps Kismis-2 tbsps Heat ghee & fry the coconut pieces.when it starts to brown add the cashews and kismis . Once browned,add to the Payasam along with ghee and cover with a lid to infuse the flavor.after some time open the lid & mix well. The Banana Parippu Pradaman is ready to serve
