




Banana/Ethakka Halwa
Banana Ethan-700gms[Deseeded & chopped]
Lemon juice-1 lemon
water-2 cups
In a non-stick pan boil together the above ingredients .Cover &
cook till the water dries up.Mash this with a spoon [sothat no lumps]
Sugar-350 gms
Add sugar & cook till the water has dried.
ghee-2 to 3 tbsp
Add ghee 1 tbsp at a time & cook on medium heat till golden brown.Since the banana easily become a mass ,to test whether it's ready or not--take a small bowl half filled with water.Take a small portionand drop in the water.If you can make a ball of the portion easily then the halwa is ready.
Pour this on to a greased steel plate.Decorate with broken Cashews.With the back of a spoon level & smoothen the halwa.
After 1 hr. you can cut the halwa into desired shapes.
