White Chocolate Sponge Cake

1.Eggs-3

Granulated Sugar-1 cup(powder this after measuring)

(Can reduce the sugar to 3/4 th cup if you don’t want it to be too sweet as it’s very sweet cake)

Vanilla essence-1 tsp

Beat this with a beater till triple in volume and pale in color.

2.All purpose flour-1 1/2 cup

Baking powder-1 1/2 tsp

Salt-1/2 tsp(avoid this if you are using salted butter)

Sieve together thrice and set aside.Add to the beaten egg and sugar mixture and fold in.

3.Unsalted Butter-60 gm

Milk-1/2 cup

White chocolate-150 gm(I used galaxy chocolate bars.u can use the compound one too)

In a saucepan boil the chopped chocolate along with milk and butter till chocolate is completely dissolved .Do this while beating the eggs.Keep this mixture warm (so that chocolate doesn’t settle down)


Add to the batter along with chocolate & milk mixture in 2 additions and beat till smooth.

Pour this into an 9” square pan and bake in a preheated oven at 160 C for 33-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted at the center comes out clean.
