Tricolor Sandwich (Makes-8 Mini Sandwiches)
1.Bread-8 pieces
Mayonnaise as required
2.For thefirst layer
Carrot grated-1/2 cup
Tomato sauce-2 tsp
Apply mayonnaise to one side of
2 bread slices .Place the grated carrot on top of one slice evenly .To the second slice add a tsp of tomato sauce over the mayonnaise and spread evenly and use this to cover the carrot layer.
3.For the second layer
Cheese Singles-1-2
Apply mayonnaise to the top of the bread and place a cheese single.Apply mayonnaise/butter to the third slice of bread and cover the cheese layer.U can use grated cheese instead of cheese singles.
4.For the third Chutney layer
Mint & coriander leaves -3/4-1 cup
Almond-3
Garlic-1 big
Green chilies-2
Pepper powder-a pinch
Lime juice-1/2-1 tsp ( Adjust according to your taste)
Salt to taste
Desiccated coconut-3 tbsps
(U can use fresh grated coconut instead)
Make a Chutney with the above ingredients adding 1-3 tbsps of water if you are using desiccated coconut. If you are using fresh coconut you won’t require any extra water to make the Chutney.
Apply the Chutney to the top of the bread slice and spread evenly.Cover with the fourth slice of bread.Now slice the sandwich horizontally into two and then again slice each sandwich to two so that you get four mini sandwiches.Repeat with the remaining four slices of bread.Tricolor sandwiches are ready to serve.
