Sweedish Meatballs

Swedish meatballs For the meatballs 1.Beef minced-1/2 kg 2.Onion-1 small Ginger-1/2" piece Garlic-3 Green chili-3 Carrot-1 Chop all the above in a chopper & add to the minced beef. 3.bread slices-3 Crumb this & add to the above. 4.Salt to taste Pepper powder-1 tsp Add to the above and mix well.Make small balls and shallow fry in a nonstick pan,often turning sothat the meatballs are evenly browned on all sides.U might get around 25-30 balls depending on the size of the balls.Set this aside.

Note:U can air fry this for 10-12 minutes untill browned to make it healthy


For the white sauce 1.Butter-50 gm All purpose flour-1/3 cup Heat butter.Add the flour and fry for a minute or till it starts to change colors/ nice smell emanates. 2.beef/chicken cubes-2 Water-3 cups Dried Thyme-1/2 tsp Dried Parsley-2 tsp Add the cubes and 1 cup water and mix well without lumps. Add the remaining water and the dried herbs and let this come to boil. 3.Sour cream-3/4 cup (U can substitute with 1 cup yoghurt and 1 tbsp cornflour mixed well) Pepper powder-2 tsp Add the above ingredients and stir well sothat no lumps are formed. When this starts to boil add the meatballs and let this simmer for 5 minutes or until the sauce starts to thicken.Adjust salt.Serve with rice/nan/French fries-like in IKEA stores

Note: If you are using yoghurts instead of sour cream,add 3-4 tbsps of cooking cream towards the end of the cooking to make it rich.
