Soya Chunks/Bean Butter Masala
1.Soyachunks-1 cup
Boil 3 cups water and add the dry soya beans/chunks to it and when it comes back to boil off the stove and cover with lid.
After 15-20 minutes drain the water and add some normal water and squeeze it to remove excess water.
2.Butter/oil-2 tbsp
Onions-1 big
Ginger-garlic paste-1 tbsp
Green chillies-2
Corriander pwdr-1 tsp
Chilli pwdr-1 1/4 tsp
Tomato paste-2-3 tbsp or 2 tomatoes puréed .
Water 1/2-1 cup
Sauté the chopped onion .Once translucent add the ginger garlic paste and sauté.Add in the masalas and sauté on low heat.Add some water and cook till oil separates.Add the tomato paste and soya beans and sauté.Add in water .
3.Cashews-8-10
Cumin seeds-1/2 tsp
Kasuri methi-1 tsp
Garam masala-1 tsp
Corriander leaves- to garnish
Cream-1/4-1/2 cup
Paste almonds/cashews,cumin and kasuri methi with enough water & set aside.
Note:If u r using fresh tomatoes puréed , cook for a few minutes.
Let this simmer for a few minutes.now add the almond/ cashew paste,cream,sugar ,garam masala & kasuri methi.if the gravy is thick u can add some boiling water & loosen it.add chopped corriander leaves & serve with naan/ rice .
