Making of Rocket Dosa
For Dosa batter
1.Raw Rice-1/2 cup Urad dal-1/4 cup Fenugreek seeds-1/4 tsp
Soak the rice for 5-6 hours. In another bowl soak the urad dal & fenugreek seeds for 2 hours.
2.Cooked rice-1/4 cup Salt to taste
Grind the urad dal and fenugreek mixture to a smooth paste adding some of the soaked water in a mixie.Remove it into a bowl.Now grind the soaked raw rice by adding water to a smooth paste .Add the cooked rice & salt and grind till u get a smooth batter.Remove and add to the above dal batter and mix.Set this aside to ferment for 6-8 hours or overnight.
The next day Remove some of the fermented batter to a bowl . If the batter is thick add enough water to make it loose.
Heat a nonstick pan and pour 2 ladles of batter to the center of the pan and spread the batter with the back of the ladle into a thin circle .Make a cut from the center to the side of the Dosa with a spatula as shown in the video and pictures.
Pour half a tsp of ghee & cook this Dosa over medium heat till the sides starts to brown/comes off the pan.Now with your hands just lift the dosa from the cut marks and roll it as shown in the video in the shape of rocket.Rocket Dosa is ready to serve with some Chutney or Sambar
