Prawns Curry š¦ š¤ with Drumsticks and Raw Mango
1.Prawns-400 gm
Drumsticks-2
Raw Mango-1 (I used dried raw mango instead)
Peel the prawns and devein it.Set this aside .Scrape the outer cover of the Drumsticks and cut into medium pieces .Cut the mango into medium pieces .
2.Coconut-1/2 cup
Shallots-2
Green chilies-2
Curry leaves-a sprig
Turmeric-a pinch
Ground this to a smooth paste adding some water.
3.Garlic-3 big
Ginger-1 tsp chopped
Green chilies-3-4
Shallots-4-5
Coconut oil-1/2 tbsp
Heat oil and sautƩ garlic & ginger chopped.Add the sliced shallots & green chilies.
4.Chilli powder-1 1/2 tsp
Turmeric-1/4 tsp
Salt to taste
Once the shallots starts to brown add the above masalas on medium heat and sautĆ©.Add 1/4 cup water and cook till oil separates.Add 1 cup water and salt to taste.Cover this with a lid and let this come to boil.Add the set aside prawns and Drumstick pieces.Once the Drumsticks & prawns are cooked add the mango slices and cover and cook till mango pieces are cooked .(Add a small piece of kudumpuli/Tamarind if your mango isnāt sour enough)
Now add the ground coconut paste to this and mix in.let this come boil on the sides. Adjust salt .Remove from fire.
5.For tempering
Mustard seeds-1 tsp
Dry Red chilies-2
Shallots-2
Curry leaves-2 sprigs
Coconut oil-1 tbsp
Chilly powder-1/2 tsp
Heat coconut oil in a pan and splutter the mustard seeds.Add the dry Red chillies.Then add the sliced shallots and fry till golden.Reduce the heat and Add the curry leaves .Then add the Chilli powder and sautƩ.Add this to the Prawns curry and mix in.Prawns curry with Drumsticks & raw mango is ready
