Prawn Balls Curry 🍤
1.Prawns-1 cup
Pepper powder-1/4 tsp
Salt-1/8 tsp
I took 20 tiger prawns.
Devein and mince the prawns .Add in the pepper ,salt ,stir in and set aside.
2.Coconut grated-5-6 tbsps
Shallots-2-3
Ginger-a small piece
Green chillies-3
Curry leaves-few
Pulse this 2-3 times in a mixie or chopper until just crushed.
Add into the minced prawns and mix in.Make small balls and set aside.I got 15 small balls with this.
3.Onion-1
Ginger-1 tbsp (chopped)
Garlic-2 big
Green chillies-5-6
Curry leaves-2 sprigs
Coconut oil-1 1/2 tbsps
Heat oil and sauté the sliced onions and chopped ginger,garlic,green chillies and curry leaves till translucent.
2.Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
Chilli powder-1/4-1/2 tsp(adjust according to your spice levels)
Coriander powder-1 1/4 tbsps
Add in all the above masalas and sauté on low flame for a minute.Add in 2 tbsps of water and cook till oil separates.
3.Thin Coconut milk -1 cup
Thick Coconut milk-1/2 cup
Salt to taste
Garam Masala-1/2 tsp
Vinegar-1 tbsp
Coriander leaves-few
Add in the thin coconut milk and when this comes to boil,add in the prawn balls,salt and cover and cook till the balls are cooked through .(Do not stir the balls with a spoon,before it’s cooked through as it might break.)
Now add in the thick coconut milk,Garam Masala ,vinegar and stir in. Adjust salt and once this staffs to boil,off the stove and add in the coriander leaves chopped.Prawn Balls Curry is ready.
