Orange Tea Cake š° š
1.All purpose flour-1 cup
Baking powder-1 tsp
Baking soda-1/2 tsp
Salt-a pinch
Sieve this together thrice and set aside.
2.Eggs-2 large
Granulated Sugar-3/4 cup
Orange Essence-1 tsp
Orange Zest -1 tsp
Orange juice-1/4 cup
Canola Oil-1/4 cup
Powder the sugar.Beat the room temperature eggs and powdered sugar till light and fluffy.Add in the grated orange zest,orange essence and oil and beat in.Add in the orange juice and beat in.
3. Milk-1/4 cup
Butter-1 tbsp (14 gm)
Heat milk and butter in the microwave till butter is melted through.
Now add in the flour mixture in two batches and the milk mixture in between and fold in gently with a spatula.
Pour this batter into a greased loaf pan lined with parchment paper and bake in a preheated oven at 170 C for 27-30 minutes or until a skewer inserted at the center comes out clean.Orange Tea Cake is ready.
