Mutton Roast
1.Mutton-1 kg
Pressure cook this with
2.turmeric pwdr-1/2 tsp
chilli pwdr-1tsp
corriander pwdr-1tsp
vinegar-1 tbsp
salt to taste
3.onion-3 [sliced]
Saute in 3 tbsp coconut/refined oil.
Crush together & add
4.ginger-1" piece
garlic-10 pods
add & saute till onions are lightly browned.
5.Curry leaves-1 sprig In a seperate non-stick pan dry roast together in medium heat.
6.chilli pwdr-1 tsp
corriander pwdr-1tsp
Roasting is complete when u starts to cough/sneeze.Add this to the browned onions.[roasting can be done early ].add only the water left in the cooker to this & cook.Now add 7.coconut milk-1/2 cup
and cook in medium heat till oil seperates.Add the mutton pieces &
8. pepper pwdr-1/2 tsp
garam masala-1tsp
& adjust seasonings.At this stage u can add little water sothat the gravy coats the mutton pieces.cook till its dry/ dark brown.
