Mom’s Beef Roast /Beef Tomato Roast
1.Beef-1/2 kg
Chilli powder-1 tsp
Coriander powder-3/4 tsp
Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
Salt to taste
Vinegar-1 tsp
Marinate the beef with all the above ingredients and set aside for 15-30 minutes. Then pressure cook this till done.
2.Once cooled,open the pressure cooker and remove only the beef and set aside the stock.Shallow fry the cooked beef in oil till browned.Set aside the fried beef and remove all oil except 1 1/2 tbsp (as required).
3.Onion-2
Curry leaves-1 sprig
Tomato-2 big /3 small
Ginger garlic paste-1 tbsp
Chilli powder-1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
Coriander powder-1/2 tsp
Garammasala-1/2 tsp
Pepper powder-1/2 tsp
Sauté the onions and curry leaves in the above oil till the onions starts to brown.Add the ginger garlic paste and sauté for a minute or two.Now Add the all the above Masalas and cook till the raw smell vanishes.Now Add the chopped tomatoes and salt and cook till the tomatoes blends.Add the set aside stock and the fried beef to this and cook till the gravy thickens. Adjust salt.The Beef Roast is ready to serve
