Kozhukatta Recipe (Steamed Rice Dumplings with coconut & jaggery fillings)
1.Jaggery 250 gm

Cardamom-4-5
Make jaggery syrup by boiling together 1/2 cup water & jaggery.Strain into a kadai and bring to boil.let it simmer till thickened a little bit.Add the coconut grated and crushed cardamom.Continue to cook this till all the syrup coats well on the coconut grated.Set this aside to cool.
2.Rice powder (fine)-1 cup
Ghee/Coconut oil-1 tsp(optional)
Salt-1/2 tsp
Boiling water-as required
Meanwhile take the rice powder in a big vessel.Add some salt and a tsp of ghee/coconut oil.Pour boiling hot water to this and make a dough.Cover this with a lid for 20 minutes.Take a medium piece of dough and make a thin circle as shown in the video by applying some water.Place 1-2 tbsps of the jaggery coconut mixture in the middle and cover it to make balls.Repeat with the remaining dough.Steam this for 10-15 minutes in a steamer.With this you will get around 16-17 Kozhukattai
