Hariyali Chicken Curry
1.Chicken-1 kg
Pepper powder-1 tsp
Turmeric powder-1/4tsp
Chilli powder-1/4 tsp
Salt to taste
Marinate the chicken with the above ingredients for half an hour.(I didn’t marinate the chicken as I didn’t have time).
For the green masala
2.Onion-1 small
Ginger-1/2” piece
Garlic-5-6
Cashews-5-6
Green Chillies-6-7
Whole Pepper -10-12
Mint leaves-1/2 cup
Spinach blanched-1/4 -1/2 cup
Coriander leaves (with stems)-1 cup
Onion-1 big (sliced and fried)
Grind this together to a smooth paste adding 2 tbsps of water.Set this aside.
3.Oil/Ghee-1 1/2 tbsps

Tomato-1
Dried Fenugreek leaves (kasuri methi)-1 tbsp
Heat oil/ghee and sauté the chopped garlic till it starts to brown.Now add the sliced onion and sauté till lightly browned.Now add the chopped tomato and crushed fenugreek leaves and sauté for a minute or two.
Add the marinated chicken to this and sauté.Cover it with a lid and cook till chicken is half cooked.Add the green masala paste to this and cook till the oil separates.
4.Yoghurt-1/2 cup
Garam masala-1 tsp
Fresh Cream-2-3 tbsps (optional)
Salt to taste
Now add the whisked yoghurt and garam masala and cook till the gravy thickens.Add the cream and adjust salt.Hariyali Chicken Curry is ready.
