Fish shaped Meat Rolls
1.For the dough
All purpose flour-250 gm
Boiled Potato-250 gm
Ghee/Dalda-4-5 tbsps
Mash the boiled potato. In a bowl mix the flour with the ghee until it looks like bread crumbs.Add the mashed potato and make a smooth dough.
2.For the filling
Onions-2
Ginger garlic paste-1 tbsp
Green chilies-3
Sauté all the above ingredients in oil till mushy.
3.Chilli powder-1 tsp
Coriander powder-1 tsp
Pepper powder-1/2 tsp
Garammasala-1/2 tsp
Add all the above masalas and cook till raw smell vanishes.
4.Tomatoes-2
Cooked Chicken-6-8 pieces (1/4 kg)
Salt to taste
Shred the chicken.Grind the tomatoes to a smooth paste.
Now add the shredded chicken and tomato paste and cook till the mixture thickens and not dried.Set aside to cool.
Meanwhile roll the dough into a rectangle 1/4 “ thick.Place the cooled filling to the center and roll into a log.
Place this log in a tray and shape it into a fish.Use a clove for the eye👁 .
Using back of a spoon/fork make marks on the fish to resemble scales through out the body of the fish 🐠.With the fork draw lines on the tail portion.
Brush the top with an egg yolk beaten.
Now bake this in a preheated oven at 190 C for 25-35 minutes or until lightly golden.
Note:u can use any filling for this and shape it into a simple log & bake too.
