Eggless & Yeastless Battura with 1:1 Atta : Maida
Battura (Eggless and yeastless)(Yields-15-16)
1.Maida-1 1/4cup
Atta-1 1/4 cup
Semolina-2 tbsp
Salt to taste
Sugar-1 tsp (heaped )
Baking powder-1/2 tsp (heaped)
In a bowl mix together all the above ingredients .
2.Yogurt-2 tbsp
Slightly Warm water -1/2 cup (less or more as required )
Add the yogurt and required warm water to make the dough.Knead for 2 minutes and cover and set aside for 2-3 hours.
After 3 hours make Lemon size balls and roll into medium thick puris .
Heat oil and deep fry the Battura by sliding into the hot oil and slightly pressing at the center of the dough so that it puffs up .Once fully puffed flip it over and fry till the other side too is lightly golden.Serve hot with Chole Masala
