Quiche
For the base
1.puff pastry/puff paratha-as reqd.(room temp)
Line a greased baking tray/ muffin tray with puff pastry.the pastry shud cover the bottom so that it can hold the custard & fillings.
For the custard
2.eggs-3 /4
Milk-2 cups
Salt to taste
Pepper pwdr-1 tsp
Beat the eggs with the remaining ingredients to form the custard.
For the filling
3.sausage/ham/bacon-1/2 cup
Cut this into small pieces.
Cauliflower/broccoli -1 cup
Onion-1 or 2( chopped)
Capsicum-1/2(small pieces)
Pepper pwdr -1 tsp
Salt to taste
Sauté onion in 1 tbsp oil.add the ham/ sausage pieces & fry for 2-3 minutes.add the florets & the seasonings & cover & cook on medium heat till done.off the stove & add the capsicum pieces.
4. Mozzarella Cheese-3/4 cup
( grated).
Now place the fillings on top of the puff pastry & pour the custard over this & add the grated cheese on top.bake in a preheated oven at 200 C till it's firm at sides & a knife inserted comes out clean.
The quiche took around 40 minutes whereas the mini quiche was done in 10-12 minutes
