Dynamite Prawns 🍤
This is a delicious appetizer in which fried prawns are coated in a tangy,creamy and zesty sauce .
1.Tiger Prawns -15
Pepper powder-1/4 tsp
Salt-1/8 tsp
Peel the prawns leaving the tails and last segment intact so that they don’t curl up while frying.Devein the prawns by slitting the sides of each prawn.Wash and pat dry with tissues.
Marinate the prawns with the above ingredients for 15 minutes.
2.Egg yolk-1
Milk-2 tsp
Maida/apf -2 tbsps
Corn flour-3 tbsps
Salt-1/4 tsp
Pepper powder-1/4 tsp
Beat the egg yolk and milk and add to the marinated prawns.You can use 1/2 of a beaten egg instead of egg yolk and milk.Add both the flours 1 tbsp at a time and stir in.Stop adding flours once the prawns are well coated with flour.Deep fry in hot oil on medium heat till crispy and golden brown.Drain on tissues.
3.For the sauce
Mayonnaise-1/2 cup
Chilli powder-1/4 tsp
Garlic-1 big (grated/minced)
Hot sauce-3 tbsps
Tomato sauce-1 tbsp
Thai Chilli sauce-3 tbsps
Sesame oil-1/2 tsp
Honey-1 tsp
Apple Cider Vinegar-1 tsp
In a bowl add all the above ingredients together and mix well.Toss the fried prawns 🍤 into this and mix with a spoon.Serve on lettuce leaves placed in a bowl.Garnish with spring onions chopped.
