Crispy Chicken Wings
1.Chicken Wings-16 pieces
Chilli powder-1/4 tsp
Salt to taste
Vinegar-1 tbsp
Put all the above ingredients in a pressure cooker and cook it till you here a whistle.Allow this to cool to room temperature.
For Dusting
2.Corn flour-1/4 cup
All purpose flour-1/4 cup
Pepper powder-1/2 tsp
Salt-1/4 tsp
In a bowl put all the above ingredients and stir with a spoon to mix it evenly.
Drain the cooked chicken pieces from the cooker and dust it in this mixture and set aside.
For the crunchy coating
3.Corn flakes-1-2 cups
Egg-1
Water-1 tbsp
Gently crush the corn flakes with your hands so that there’s no big pieces as such.(We don’t want this to be smashed into powder).
In another bowl beat the egg and water with a fork till combined.
Now dip the set aside dusted chicken wings in the egg mixture first and then coat it with the corn flakes crushed.Repeat this with the remaining chicken wings .
You can deep fry this immediately in hot oil or freeze them for later use.
How to freeze
Arrange this an inch apart in a trays so that none of them touches and freeze it for 5-6 hours (or overnight).Once frozen Remove this into freezer bags/containers and seal it/close with lids.
Take the required amount of chicken wings from the freezer into a plate and keep it in the refrigerator for 2 hours or overnight to thaw before frying.You can also keep them out for half an hour and deep fry them till golden.Crunchy chicken wings is ready to serve with some garlic/Chilli mayonnaise
