Chicken Pot Pie


Chicken Pot Pie 🥧

1. Chicken -4-6 pieces

Pepper powder-1/2 tsp

Salt to taste

Vinegar-1 tsp

Cover and cook the

Chicken by adding all the above ingredients.Once cooked allow it to cool.Shred this and set aside.

2. Onion-1 big

Garlic-4-5 big (Chinese ones)

Carrot-1

Mushroom-250 gm

Butter-1 tbsp

Olive oil-2 tbsps

Pepper-1,tsp

Salt to taste

Heat butter and oil in a pan and sauté the chopped garlic,onion,carrot for a minute.Add the sliced mushrooms,pepper,salt and continue to sauté until carrot and mushroom is cooked through.

3.All purpose flour-3 tbsps

Sweet Corn-1/2 cup

Green Peas-1/2 cup

Milk-1/2 cup

Chicken cube-1

Water-1 cup

Oregano-2 tsp

Pepper powder-2 tsp

Salt to taste

Add the flour and sauté for a minute or two .Add in the chicken cube,milk and water and stir in.Now add the frozen green peas and sweet corns.Let this come to boil.Add in the set aside shredded chicken,oregano salt and pepper.When the mixture thickens a bit ,off the stove and set aside to cool completely.Chicken fillings is ready.

4.Frozen puff pastry-9

Soup bowls/casseroles-9

Egg yolk-1

Milk/water-1 tbsp

Cut circles a little more than the diameter of the casseroles using cookie cutters .Ladle the fillings into the casseroles The fillings shouldn’t be more than 3/4 th of the cups.

Beat together the egg yolk and water/ milk .Brush this at the edges of each puff pastry circles and place it over each bowl and seal it.

Brush the dough with egg wash.Now make a slit on the top of each pie using a knife.

Place these bowls in a baking tray and bake it in a preheated oven at 200 C for 25-30 minutes or until golden. Once baked,allow it to cool a bit.Serve hot.
