Chemmeen & Kaya
1.Chemmeen-500 gm
Kodumpuli-2
Turmeric-1/4 tsp
Chilli powder-1 tsp
Salt to taste
Clean & devain the prawns.
Marinate the prawns with the above ingredients for 15 minutes.Now cook this in a chatti with lid for 3 -5 minutes or until the prawns are cooked through.No need to add any water as the prawns will leave enough water while cooking.Remove the prawns from the water and set aside. Reserve the water/stock and discard the kodumpuli.
2.Kaya(raw Ethan)-3
Chop the Kaya into small pieces and put it into water sothat it doesn't change color.Remove the Kaya from water and transfer it into a pressure cooker .Add a pinch of turmeric,salt & 3 tbsps water & then pressure cook it for a whistle.After half an hour open the cooker.

Garlic-5
Curry leaves-2 sprigs
Chilli powder-2 tsp
Saute the chopped onions,garlic and curry leaves in 2-3tbsps coconut oil.Add the Chilli powder and saute in low heat sothat it doesn't burn. Add the set aside stock/water to this & cook till oil separates.Now add the set aside cooked prawns and Kaya & cook till all the water dries. The Chemmeen and Kaya is ready to serve.
