Beef Stroganoff
1.Beef Steak-350 gm
Oil-2 tbsps
I used Indian veal as it gets easily cooked.U can use any beef which will easily cook .
Thinly slice the beef into strips.
Heat oil in a wide pan .When the oil is hot add the beef in a single layer and cook for 1 minute each side without stirring.
Cook the until Beef it is just browned and no longer red.Do this in two batches so that you don’t overcrowd the pan.Remove this to a plate and set it aside. (I just browned it a little more so that it’s more cooked ).
2.Butter-2 tbsps
Onion-1
Green chilies 4-5
Mushrooms-200 gm
Garlic-4 big
Chilli flakes-1 tbsp or Chilli powder-3/4 tsp (Adjust according to your spice levels)
White Pepper powder-1 tsp
All purpose flour-2 tbsps
Add the butter to the same pan with the remaining oil .Now sauté the chopped onions,mushrooms till mushrooms & onions are soft and lightly browned Add the chopped garlic and chilies and sauté .Now add the Chilli flakes/powder and pepper powder and sauté.
Add the flour and sauté on low heat till nice aroma comes.
3.Chicken/Beef stock (cube)-1
Water-1 cup
Milk-1 1/2 cup
Yoghurt-1/2 cup
Corn flour-1 tsp
Add the chicken/Beef cube and water and bring it to boil.Once the mixture thickens add the milk and continue cooking till it starts to thicken.
Mix the yoghurt with the corn flour and to this add 2-3 tbsps of the thickened above sauce and mix in so that the yoghurt doesn’t curdle.Add this yoghurt mixture to the pan while stirring constantly.
4.Worcestershire sauce-2 tbsps
Mustard sauce-1/2 tsp
Oregano-1 1/2 tsp
Fresh Parsley-2 tbsps
Add the above sauces and adjust the seasonings.Continue simmering this until the sauce is creamy.
Now add the the set aside Fried Beef to this ad and continue to simmer until the beef is heated through.Beef Stroganoff is ready to Serve with some Egg Noodles or Pastas.
