Sooji Gothambu/Broken Samba Wheat Dosa🥞
For Sooji Gothambu Dosa batter
1.Sooji Gothambu -1 1/2 cup
Urad dal-3/4 cup Fenugreek seeds-1 tsp
Thoroughly wash and then Soak all the above ingredients together for 3 hours.
2.Cooked rice-3/4 cup Salt to taste
Grind the urad dal,Sooji Gothambu and fenugreek mixture by adding some of the soaked water in a mixie to a smooth paste .Add the cooked rice & salt and grind till u get a smooth batter.Remove and Set this aside to ferment for 6-8 hours or overnight.
The next day Remove some of the fermented batter to a bowl . If the batter is thick add enough water to make it loose.
Heat a nonstick pan and pour 2 ladles of batter to the center of the pan and spread the batter with the back of the ladle into a thin circle .Pour half a tsp of ghee & cook this Dosa over medium heat till the sides starts to brown/comes off the pan.Sooji Gothambu Ghee Roast is ready to serve with some Chutney or Sambar.
To make Thattu Dosa
Pour a big ladle of batter to the hot pan and then reduce heat to low and cover it with a lid .Once it’s cooked,flip it over and cook for few seconds.Remove.Thattu Dosa is ready.
