Oats Dosas
Oats Dosa Recipe (Yields 9-10)
1.Oats-1 cup
Semolina/Rava-1/2 cup
Rice Powder-1/2 cup
Salt to taste
Dry Roast the oats until just heated through.Grind this in a mixie when slightly cooled.
In a bowl mix together all the above ingredients.
2.Curd-1/2 cup
Water as required (between 1-1 1/2 cups)
Add to the above and make a thin batter which is pourable in consistency and thicker than the rava dosa batter.
3.Ginger-1 /2" piece
Green Chilli-3-4
Shallots-6-7
Curry leaves-few
Corriander leaves-1/4 cup
Cumin jeera-1/4 tsp
Crushed Pepper corns-1/4 tsp
Chop the ginger,shallots,Chillies ,curry leaves and Corriander leaves and add to the batter along with crushed pepper and cumin.Set this aside for 15 minutes.
After 15 minutes the batter might have thickned.Add more water to make the batter thinner.Now heat the Dosa tava .Once its hot,mix and pour the batter from the outer edges of the pan and continue till you fill the inner pan as we do the rava dosa.Since the batter is thin you get a lace type Dosa with this.Drizzle some ghee and cook till the bottom is browned.Turn over and cook the other side for a minute or two. Oats Dosa is ready to serve with chutney or Sambar
Note:Today I used Instant Oats,u can do the same with rolled oats too.
