Paneer Burji

Paneer Burji

1.Paneer-200 gm (I used frozen paneer )

Soak the frozen paneer in hot water to get it softened.Once softened,drain water and crumble it.

2.Oil-1 tbsp

Cumin-1/2 tsp

Onion-1 big

Green Chillies 3-5

Tomato-1

Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp

Chilli powder-3/4-1 tsp(adjust it to your spice levels)

Salt to taste

Yoghurt-2-3 tbsps

Coriander leaves-few

Heat oil and splutter the cumin seeds.Add the chopped onion and green chillies and sauté for few minutes.Add the chopped tomato and sauté for few seconds(it shouldn’t become mushy).

Now reduce the heat to low and add the turmeric & chilli powders and sauté.Add the crumbled paneer and salt to this and 2 tbsps water and cook till all water dries up.Off the stove and add the chopped coriander leaves and yoghurt and stir in.Paneer Burji is ready.

Note:Today I halved the recipe and made it as I was not sure how my family would react to this one....But it was an instant hit as it was polished off by my sons.
